Classes of Application

A. Permanent Residence Status

Canadian permanent residents are entitled to live and work anywhere in Canada, enjoy many of the privileges of Canadian Citizenship may apply for Citizenship after 3 years and may sponsor family members for Canadian permanent resident status. To become a Canadian permanent resident, a foreign individual must apply for and be issued a Canadian Permanent Resident Visa through Express Entry of the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Provincial Nominee Programs of the different provinces of Canada, Canadian Experience Class, and Family Sponsorships.

B. Temporary Residence Status
Foreign individuals who wish to work, study or simply visit Canada must apply for "Temporary Status" to Citizenship and Immigration Canada. These "visitors" must be granted Visitor Visa, unless they are citizens of visa exempt countries They will also require Employment Authorization if they wish to work temporarily in Canada; or a Student Authorization, if they wish to study temporarily in Canada.
